To All members
The next AGM of the Anglo French Medical Society will take place on Saturday the 29th of September at the Jurys Inn Hotel, Cardiff.
An agenda is enclosed.
I would like to draw your attention to several matters.
The society shall be reviewing the composition of the committee in the Cardiff AGM.
We have 6 numbers of fixed ‘official’ committee members and we have a number of co-opted members whose positions will be reviewed to ensure that the membership is constant with the place of those individuals on an expanded committee.
Also our current President, Andrew Hassan, is stepping down or may decide to do so, at the Cardiff meeting. Our constitution states that the Committee will select one or more preferred candidates for the role, whose names will be presented to the membership for a vote if there is more than one candidate. One candidate has come forward and this Dr Colin Mumford who was proposed by Dr Andrew Hassan and seconded by Dr Nick McCarthy.
If anyone who is NOT currently a committee member wishes to be considered for any of the vacant positions , including president, then they should let me (Tony Ridge) know asap.
Please can you let me know by the 29th of August 2018, if you would like any matters added to the AGM for discussion,
